Hi, I’m Sarah Williams, your Personal Travel Consultant with Hays Travel — and I’ve had a lifelong love of exploring the world!

My travel journey began as a child, holidaying around the UK with my parents — we visited countless caravan parks and, of course, the “Las Vegas of Lancashire”… the one and only Blackpool!

​

My first trip abroad was to Ibiza, staying in the beautiful village of Santa Eulalia. It was the perfect introduction to sunshine holidays, and I still treasure those memories today. From there, family holidays followed — including return visits to Ibiza and two unforgettable trips to Rhodes.

As an adult, I’ve been lucky enough to travel far and wide, discovering so many amazing destinations, including:

Still on my travel wishlist: the Maldives, Mauritius, New York, and Australia — there’s always somewhere new to dream about!

One of my favourite parts of travelling is learning about different cultures — even simple things like saying Kalimera (“Good Morning”) or Efcharistó̱ (“Thank you”) in Greek. Locals love it when you try their language! And be warned — if you’re ever offered a glass of Ouzo, sip slowly (a lesson my husband learned the hard way on our last trip!).

With so many years of experience, I love helping my customers — who often become friends — find their perfect trip. It’s never just about booking a holiday; I’m here before, during, and after your trip to guide you through every step and answer any questions.  I am also DISNEY mad, having done Florida 4 times up to now and already planning a return trip in 2027, there is so much to do in the Sunshine State, and its at the top of my list!

I’ve lived in Preston since 1993 but originally hail from Liverpool, where I still have family — every visit feels like going home. My wonderful husband Ian (we met while working at Butlins in 1993!), my daughter Lisa, and my cheeky grandson Leo, age 5, keep life busy and full of joy.

Outside of travel, I also run Fairydust Events and Wedding Planners — www.weddingsbyfairydust.com — which combines perfectly with my love for creating magical wedding and honeymoon experiences.

​

Organising weddings and honeymoons is one of my favourite parts of the job. It’s a true privilege to be part of such a special moment, and I always go the extra mile — contacting hotels directly for requests, upgrades, and those little touches that make a big difference.

For me, it’s all about personal service, attention to detail, and making sure every traveller is truly happy. Whatever your dream destination, I’d love to help make it a reality. 💛
